Genesis Research Project to Insert Ecosystem in Archetype HouseResearch Project - Benefits of Ecosystems in Residential Building

Archetype House, Kortright Centre, NRCA

Funding Goal: $15,000

Genesis Eco Fund proposes to put a PeapodLife self-contained high-order ecosystem in the Archetype House at the Kortright Centre for the purpose of determining the impact of the ecosystem on indoor air quality and energy consumption. The research will be carried out under the supervision of Genesis working in conjunction with Seneca College (tentative Academic Institutional Partner).

Genesis Eco Fund will provide an ecosystem, courtesy of PeapodLife (a $40K value).  Installation will be handled by PeapodLife’s parent company, Wo-Built, Inc.

Funding Required for Additional Materials and Resources as per Kortright Centre, including materials (i.e. sensors, computers and other equipment) required for research.

Research Project - Benefits of Ecosystems for Children with Special Needs

Special Needs Home, TBD

Funding Goal: $35,000

Genesis Eco Fund proposes to put a PeapodLife self-contained high-order ecosystem in a Home for Children with Special Needs (location TBD) for the purpose of determining the impact of the ecosystem on the lucidity of children suffering from autism-spectrum disorders. The research will be carried out under the supervision of Genesis working in conjunction with an Academic Institutional Partner (TBD).

Genesis Eco Fund will provide funding for an ecosystem, which will be made available to the centre at cost courtesy of PeapodLife (a $40K value).  Installation will be handled by PeapodLife’s parent company, Wo-Built, Inc.

Funding Required for Additional Materials and Resources as per Special Needs Centre, including materials (i.e. monitoring equipment, computers and other equipment) required for research.
